MY daddy is the KING!!

My dad was a police officer. I was so proud of that. When I was 10, I remember thinking that he was the tallest, strongest man that I knew. He was a superhero to me.  I remember telling my friends and classmates that my dad was a police officer. In those days and times, it was an honor to be a police officer and I felt pride when telling my friends that my dad carried a badge and a gun, legally. 😁

It's amazing where our confidence comes from as children. It is often tied to the people that we love, the people that pour into us and make us feel all special and good inside. As adults, sometimes we find confidence in our status, our cars, our marriages, jobs, homes. Through our day to day operations, we forget who our Father is and we forget the love that He has for us. 

I was so excited as a child to tell everyone about my earthly dad, the police officer, but do you know how proud I am as an adult to talk about my daddy in Heaven, THE KING! We forget that our dad is not A King, but THE KING. He is the one spoke the world and creation into existence. The one who stepped over time and space and Heaven's threshold to walk with us in order to empathize with our weaknesses (infirmities); because He was tempted like us, but without sin (Hebrews 4:16). 

Aren't you glad that our daddy, doesn't just sit high, but He looks low (Psalm 113). He calls us even though we are nothing, but filthy rags on our best days. Even in our faithlessness, He is still faithful. In the face of our selfishness, He is unselfish. He is wise and omnipresent and omnipotent and gracious and loving and forgiving. He is perfectly perfect! 

Do you know what it means to be the daughter of THE KING? Do you really understand the title that you have? Do you understand the depth of love that your Father has for you? Can you comprehend that the God who controls the world, looks at you with love and adoration? He is Jealous for you (Exodus 20:5). He loves you with an unfailing love (Jeremiah 31:3). He thinks the world of you, so much so, that He gave His ONLY begotten son that you may have the right to eternal life (John 3:16). 

Girl, your daddy is THE KING! Like the only one. The King of Kings and the Lord of Lords! Do you walk in your princess status? Do you carry yourself as royalty ~ As a royal priesthood? Do you know that you can have whatever your daddy has destined for you to have and more? Do you know that your daddy is waiting to do exceedingly, abundantly over all you can ask or think (Ephesians 3:20)? Do you know that there are certain promises linked to your heritage as the KING's Daughter? Do you know that wealth is yours, because your daddy owns the cattle on a thousand hills? Do you walk with confidence knowing that your daddy, CAN do ANYTHING, even if He chooses to do NOTHING? Do you know your power? Do you know your authority? Your daddy has given you the power to speak over your life, to encourage yourself, to tread on serpents and snares. Are you operating in your power?

Do you know that God is concerned about you (Psalm 138:8)? Everything that is bothering you, hindering you, trying to trip you up, He is concerned about. He wants the best for you. And He is going to perfect (complete) those things that concern you. He came that you might have life and life more abundantly (John 10:10)! Come on, girl. Get up! Wipe your eyes, put on some lip gloss and slay today, not because of your strength, but on the strength of your Daddy! Girl, your daddy is THE KING!! 

Listen sis, the accuser, the enemy, the devil, satan wants you to remain stuck. He wants you to forget your heritage and the grace that is upon your life. He wants to remind you of your past - the mistakes, the mishaps, that you thought took you off your course. But remember that if any man or woman is in Christ, he/she is a new creature, the old things are gone, behold all things are new (2 Corinthians 5:17). Sis, walk in your newness. Christ has granted you brand new mercies today. Accept this "do-over" and remember WHO and WHOSE you are. You are God's daughter. Your daddy is the KING! 

Live in the RED today. Remember that you are Loved and Forgiven and the daughter of THE KING!
